Spring Beauty Essentials

I don't think I've done a post about anything beauty-related yet, so this is exciting! I am incredibly low-maintenance when it comes to makeup and I don't go for anything over-the-top or exotic--I keep it pretty simple with neutrals and drugstore/Target products. There are a few things I splurge on, but it's pretty rare for me to buy makeup somewhere other than Target.

Here's a few products that I have in my makeup bag for spring...

1. Essie Trophy Wife nail polish: I love this color for my toes in the spring. It's bright and shiny and unexpected but still chic.

2. E.L.F. blush in Twinkle Pink: Such a natural looking color. It has teeny gold sparkles in it that look amazing with bronzer or a tan but also great alone. The price ($3!) is unbeatable.

3. Essie Camera nail polish: I crave bright, saturated polish in the spring and this coral-pink is perfect. It's also great on toes!

4. Tarte LipSurgence Matte lipstick in Exposed: This is my go-to nude lipstick when I want to have minimal makeup but still look polished or if I'm doing a heavier eye. It really does hydrate your lips and is even a bit minty.

5. Clinique bronzer in Sunkissed: This has been my only bronzer for years. It's just the right shade for my skin (not too orange, not too brown) and looks so natural. I use it all over: face, collar bones, shoulders, shins...anywhere that needs a bit of color.

6. Clinique Almost Lipstick in Black Honey: The color looks scary dark in the tube, but it's such a perfect shade on. It's a reddish-pink color but sheer enough that it doesn't look "lipsticky". It's also incredibly easy to layer for a more intense lip. One of my favorites!

What are your spring beauty essentials? Do you change products depending on the season or do you use the same products all year?

  1. I have heard SUCH high praise of Black Honey, that I really really need to try it. I'm always in search of a perfect lip colour--it can be difficult!

I'm so obsessed with Essie colours too! There's something about spring/summer that wants me to incorporate colour EVERYWHERE!
