Friday's Fancies: Beach Trip!

Let's pretend we're taking a trip to the beach for a few days...here's a sampling of what I'd take!

For the beach: an easy cover up, a basic leather flipflop, a chic (and inexpensive!) swimsuit, and a bag that can get sandy. And while I didn't add it to my collage, this is my favorite sunscreen and a total beach essential!

Friday's Fancies: Summer Wishlist!

Woohoo! Today is officially the first day of summer!!!! I love summer. Everyone gets more relaxed and happier in the summertime. Plus summer has all of my favorite things: lots of navy and white, strawberries, ice cream, sunshine, beach trips, suntans, freckles, the days stay lighter longer, seersucker...basically there's a lot I love about summer.

The theme for this week's Friday's Fancies is "Summer Wishlist" and I just have to tell y'all, I struggled with the theme. I'd like to say it's because I don't have any wants, but in all honesty, this blog kind of serves as my continual wishlist, so it's hard to narrow down all my wants to a short and sweet compilation of The Best without reposting items and being repetitive. That seems horribly materialistic...yikes. #champagneproblems, right?

Anyway, I decided to focus more on items that I've been looking for for ages and have finally found the perfect iteration that needs to be added to my closet ASAP.

Friday's Fancies: Stripes!

The theme for this week's Friday's Fancies was stripes and if you've been reading this blog for any length of time, then you know I LOVE stripes, so obviously I was totally in!!! My biggest problem was narrowing all of the striped goodness out there down to a single outfit...

A simple, easy outfit to throw on for anything: brunch, shopping, a casual dinner, running errands. All classic silhouettes with a few trendy touches. I love crisp white and navy together, and naturally coral-pink is a perfect summery accent.

Friday's Fancies: Easy Weekend

I've decided to start participating in a popular link-up in the fashion blogosphere, Friday's Fancies hosted by Alison at Long Distance Loving! I'm excited!

How perfect is this outfit for any weekend occasion? The shorts could easily be switched out for skinnies or boyfriend jeans if it's a bit too cool for shorts, or the mini-wedges could be switched for a higher wedge for a lunch with girlfriends. I think the metallic thread in the shirt adds just the right amount of glam. I'd totally wear this outfit for a day of browsing the mall, antique shops, or even the farmer's market!

What do you have planned for this weekend? I have a bridal shower for a dear friend and sorority sister tomorrow, plus a bunch of errands. And I think I'll need to pick up a pair of those J. Crew Factory denim shorts because they're such a great price! Have a lovely weekend!!!
